Petals Fall Down at my Feet

The time of hearts has finally begun
The feeling of love has come
Roses is what I have to give
To one who captured the heart of this man

Will I give red?
I remember blood
To you one day I wish to pass
Oh love that burns deep within me
Oh I long to be set free

Will it be white?
For the one who is so pure
The one who dazzles me
The girl who is my cure

Shall it be blue?
People say it costs a lot
But never will it be a match
Like the love for me you would allot

Should it be orange?
It sure is bright
Like you it shines
A pleasure to my sight

Or I guess it might be purple?
I think I could give a piece of me
To show respect and wonder
For your royal beauty

So many choices I find
All of these I want to give in my mind
But I want to choose what your desire is
For just a smile, I would do what you please

Jeepney ride (April 2007)

For example you're in a jeepney ride which is not full, can you go the whole ride without holding on unto something at least? I doubt it, you will fall, you will move and you will definitely lose balance. But what if was someone beside you, and this person was holding you, hugging you, and has control of your body's balance, will you still attempt to hold on to something?

This is the true test of trust, many times God allows us to ride a wild journey, where there are no shock absorbers and the trip is as uncertain as it can be. Everything around you moves so fast that you can't understand why it's happening. then God grabs you and says, I'll take care of you, I've got you, can you go the whole ride with out holding on to something else?

There are many things we can hold on to as we try to counter the pain we face in this adventure God brought us into. Sometimes we look for comfort in relationships without His Hand in it, in vices, in friends, even in our family at times putting our trust in all these things. But can you remember the silent whisper of the God who said "I've got you."?

Why let go of these things and trust Him? Cause just like in the jeepney ride, the moment you stop holding on to the bars, to the ceiling, to anything you wish to grab on and let your weight fall on the person holding you, you are in a state of rest. No more fears of falling and instead of the ride being tiring, it just becomes a ride of trust. Also resting on the person holding you lets you feel the love that the person has for you. And that is God as well in our lives. When the road of life gets rough, He will hold us, giving us peace of mind and a love that is unfailing. Now can you let go of  the "bars" in your life and fall into His arms?
"For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone."
- Psalm 91:11-12
